Natural Whetstone, Kyoto Origin, Mountain Unknown, Finishing Stone
62.70 $
Description
Natural whetstone, Kyoto origin, mountain unknown, finishing whetstone.
I lapped the raw stone myself.
This is at a beginner DIY level, so please refrain from purchasing if you are looking for perfection.
I think this is perfect for those who want to try using a natural whetstone but find professional ones too expensive.
There are layers and chips, so the stone is coated with cashew except for the lapped surface.
This whetstone has good sharpening power while sharpening evenly.
It's a good stone that isn't too hard or too soft, and it effectively removes scratches.
As it is a natural stone, there may be streaks or inclusions that were not apparent during my test sharpening.
Please consider this point as well before making a decision.
Maximum length: 174mm
Maximum width: 83mm
