Vintage Tohono O'odha Style Coiled Basket Olla Southwest 7"

Vintage hand-coiled Southwestern basket in a rounded Olla form with natural tan and contrasting brown geometric designs.  The basket appears to be constructed of natural plant fibers using traditional coiled basketry techniques.  Based on the construction, materials, form, and geometric decoration it is attributed to the Tohono O'odham (Historically called Papago) basketry tradition; attribution is not documented and the basket is unsigned. Beautiful tightly worked geometric design with contrasting natural and dark plant-fiber stitching.  Rounded vessel shape with a smaller opening and wrapped rim. Approximately 7 diameter at its widest point Approximately 5 high Approximately 5 opening diameter Approximately 5 stitches per inch, and 2.5 coils per inch.
